I Desire, 2017
Light Installation
Size (mm): w1500 x d1000 x h900
This is a continuous research project on the prostitute industry in Hong Kong.
My initiative based on the lack of awareness and recognition on the sex workers. They are living an underprivileged life.
By adopting partially the recently used protesting slogan from the Umbrella movement, the two Chinese characters explicitly speak out what “I desire”. It is an anamorphic light installation, using pink neon tube that symbolises the present brothels and through which I am trying to find the angle that can investigate and where they can be represented.

Audience will be indulged in a space of pink light which arouse the desire of lust which corresponding to the two words. Thus, they will question what is desired.
THIS WORK WAS AWARDED SECOND RUNNER UP FOR HONG KONG HUMAN RIGHTS ARTS PRIZE 2017.
